Coach Hammond brings a wealth of high school, club, college, ODP and professional experience with her to Chelsea SC. The Mission Viejo, Calif., native was a member of the Region Olympic Development Program. She also participated in the Olympic National Camp in 1998 and 2000. She grew up playing for the SC Blues and Santa Margarita Catholic High School where she helped lead her team to 3 CIF Championships.
After graduating from SMCHS, Jenny Anderson-Hammond, went on to earn a scholarship to play at Clemson University. She was a four-year starter and served as captain her junior and senior years. She earned Freshman All-American honors from Soccerbuzz.com in 2001 and was twice named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll and Clemson Dean's List.
Hammond completed a Master's degree in Sports management at the University of Kansas while serving as the Director of Soccer Operations during the 2005-06 seasons. In 2007, she spent the season as a volunteer assistant coach while continuing to serve as club coach with the Kansas Soccer Academy.
Coach Hammond was hired in 2008 to be the assistant coach for the Eastern Illinois University Women's Soccer team under the direction of Head Coach Tim Nowak. Eastern Illinois is a Division 1 program that plays in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Prior to coming to Chelsea in 2011, Hammond played professionally with Sky Blue FC, Western New York Flash and the OC Waves. She is currently the Head Varsity soccer coach at El Toro High School as well coaching the Chelsea SC G99 and G00 teams.
After traveling the country pursuing her professional playing/coaching career Anderson-Hammond is happily settled in her newly purchased home in Rancho Santa Margarita with her husband, Andrew, of 5 years. She is looking forward to bringing her vast experiences to the Chelsea SC family.
